چکیده

Several government/commercial oo-the-shelf modular software packages have been combined to perform static aeroelastic analysis and aerodynamic optimization of a generic high-speed civil transport, with the eventual goal of performing high-delity multidisciplinary optimization (MDO). Results obtained for the aeroelastic analysis and aerodynamic optimization cases are consistent with expectations and serve as a benchmark for future results that will incorporate sensitivity derivatives from the computational uids and structures solvers to reduce the wall-clock computational expense of high-delity MDO.

Optimization of Moving Wingin Ground Effect using Response Surface Method

Optimization of the sectional wing in ground effect (WIG) has been studied using ahigh order numerical procedure and response surface method (RSM). Initially, the effects of the ground clearance, angle of attack, thickness, and camber of wing have been investigated by a high-resolutionscheme, which is highlystrong and accurate. In the numerical simulation, Normalized Variable Diagram (NVD) sche...

AIAA 2000-4886 First-Order Model Management with Variable-Fidelity Physics Applied to Multi-Element Airfoil Optimization

First-order approximation and model management is a methodology for a systematic use of variable-fidelity models or approximations in optimization. The intent of model management is to attain convergence to high-fidelity solutions with minimal expense in high-fidelity computations. The savings in terms of computationally intensive evaluations depends on the ability of the available lower-fideli...

Functional derivatives for uncertainty quantification and error estimation and reduction via optimal high-fidelity simulations

One of the most fundamental challenges in predictive modeling and simulation involving materials is quantifying and minimizing the errors that originate from the use of approximate constitutive laws (with uncertain parameters and/or model form). We propose to use functional derivatives of the quantity of interest (QoI) with respect to the input constitutive laws to quantify how the QoI depends ...

New Improvement in Interpretation of Gravity Gradient Tensor Data Using Eigenvalues and Invariants: An Application to Blatchford Lake, Northern Canada

Recently, interpretation of causative sources using components of the gravity gradient tensor (GGT) has had a rapid progress. Assuming N as the structural index, components of the gravity vector and gravity gradient tensor have a homogeneity degree of -N and - (N+1), respectively. In this paper, it is shown that the eigenvalues, the first and the second rotational invariants of the GGT (I1 and ...

Comparing Diagnostic Accuracy of Purple line with Transvers Diagonal of Michaelis Sacral to Predict labor Progress

Background and Aim: One of the key aspects of maternal care is observing the progress of labor. Careful assessment of labor progress could provide mothers to be referred on time and could decrease the maternal and neonatal morbidity. This study aimed to compare diagnostic accuracy of purple line with transvers diagonal of Michaelis sacral rhomboid to predict labor progress in nulliparous and mu...
